Airport

The David City Municipal Airport has two runways – a 3,675′ x 60′ lighted asphalt 14/32 runway, and a 2,100′ x 60′ turf 01/19 runway. They have an apron with tie downs; windsock; beacon on dusk to dawn. Runway lights are radio controlled 122.9. Other facilities include a six-bay T-hangar building with two storage rooms, four additional T-hangars, one Quonset hangar, equipment building (for grounds maintenance equipment), administration building, hard-surface taxiway, and parking area. Eleven private planes are hangared there, none are available for charter.

The fuel is 100 LL (low lead).

The City of David City recently executed agency agreements with the Department of Aeronautics for Project numbers 3-31-0025-13 and 3-31-0025-14 to be submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration to obtain federal assistance for the development of the Airport. The funds for these projects were approved and will be fully funded thanks to the CARES Act, CRRSA, and ARPA grants passed by the U.S. Congress in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

If you have any questions, please contact Airport Manager Chris Kroesing at 402-367-3109.
